After installation
You will need purchase a license to activate the app. This is a One-off fee - no ongoing monthly subscription payments!
Click the "Buy now" button and you'll be taken to a secure Stripe page to complete the payment.
After successfully processing the payment, you'll be returned to the BCpixo app page within your BigCommerce store admin area.
Some browsers may leave your original tab open. You can safely close this tab and continue in the new BCpixo app window.
The app will now be operational.
Bulk update
It is recommended to click the "Bulk Update" button at this point. This process checks through your entire catalog and assigns any product without an image to the "BCpixo - Products without Images" category. This process can be run at any time.
Individual product create/update
BCpixo works silently in the background when you create or update products in your store's admin area.
Adding images
When you add images to a product that previously had no images, BCpixo automatically removes it from the "BCpixo - Products without Images" category when you save the page.
Deleting images
Although typically a rare occurence, you may wish to delete all of a product's images and not immediately replace them with new ones.
When you delete all images from a product, the app will not add automatically add it to the "BCpixo - Products without Images" category. This is just how BigCommerce works. More detailed information can be found at BigCommerce Developer Documentation. It will update the product category when any of the other fields specified in the documentation are updated. To ensure the product is added to the "BCpixo - Products without Images" category, you can:
- Manually uncheck it from the product's category list before saving the page
- Change one of the specified fields as well as deleting the images before saving the page
- Run the BCpixo app's "Bulk Update" process after saving the page
Important
BCpixo uses BigCommerce web hooks when monitoring changes to a product page. Web hooks may take longer to fire than a normal page save. In addition, after saving a page, the page may only reflect the changes you made and not refresh the product's categories changed silently by BCpixo. To confirm the BCpixo changes, you can:
- Manually refresh each page after saving
- Run the BCpixo app's "Bulk Update" process after making all your product updates
